During the Entrepreneurial Experience of the HALO Vocational and Life Skills Program, HALO teammates design and create handmade products and canvas tote bags that they sell at various venues throughout the year. You can purchase them at Vintage Market Days at Perry Fairgrounds twice a year (next event is April 23-25, 2021) (click here to go to link). Teammates work together through all phases of the development process from the creative brainstorming process, prototype design, process, production and all the way to marketing and sales.
The wood used for the plaques is taken from shelving from the historic New Perry Hotel and Restaurant! Teammates harvest bamboo themselves from start to finish to make a variety of products.
